Have a quick question for any 07 ES 350 owners who have had this occur. The AFS OFF light on the dash display came on and I cannot locate anything that will turn the light off.

I assume the adaptive front lights will not work with the light on. It is a nice feature that I would like to keep. On page 113 of the manual it shows a button on the lower left bottom of the dash but I'll be danged if I can find it on my ES.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

Yes, that is a tricky button to find.

Try this:

Sit in the drivers seat in a normal position.

Put your hand on your right leg/knee.

slide your hand to the dash and follow the curve of the dash downwards.

Keep sliding forward underneath the dash you will find two buttons.

One to reset the tire pressure check and one for the AFS light.

That sounds stupid, but this way works.

If your AFS light has come on, it either means you've pressed the toggle button by accident (this button gives you the ability to turn AFS on or off) or it's a warning that a component of the AFS or auto-leveling system is malfunctioning. Is the light blinking or is it solid? Does pressing the button turn the light off?

I don't know how you knew this but your a genius. :D Thanks for the help, I have been looking for weeks for that button.

Who da thunk that a luxury car maker would put 2 buttons completely out of sight, not make it known in the manual and expect someone like me to find it?

(As a note, my battery died and I could not find a way to unlock the doors to open the hood until my wife happened to feel a little slot under the triangle chrome piece on the door handle. Duh, I may have to get a simpler car.)

I had the same problem with AFS on my 2007 ES350 - could not locate the switch (it's referenced in my manual, but picture was not very helpful).  Instruction to locate switch was perfect.  Worked like a champ.  Thanks!

Funny I should come across this post today - I pulled fuse 22 (7.5A) this afternoon to stop that annoying dashboard light. The hidden push button by the driver’s right knee didn’t do the trick. I’m very happy with stationary headlights.
