sanjaysrr
This morning the Engin check & VSC light came on after I applied hard break while driving on highway. I read previous comments, my oil change was done almost 3500 KM (2100 Miles) before, so its not new, gas was filled a almost a week ago. Could this still be a problem of air hose. My Toronto (GTA) area Lexus dealer is a bit greedy and I am sure they will try to get as much as possible. can I drive for 2-3 days before I go the mechanic or asap? Steve
Hi Go to a 3rd party garage and get them to put a diagnostic check done, good place to start. You need to get the codes first. It may be a dirty MAF sensor or a Pre Cat Sensor. I am pretty sure if it was MAF sensor you would go in to crawl mode.
fernandolpa
I had the same problem some time ago. It was the Oxigen sensor in the exhaust. First it was the fornt one, I took the car to Lexus dealer = 350 euros! Then the second time I investigate a bit, find the OEM part, buy it by ebay (new), replace by miself and done for 90 USD. I was driving for around four weeks each time with the light on, and there is nothing involved, except that the traction control does not work (I have an AWD) and I guess that the VSC either.
