I was exploring my IS 350 I some how got my navigation saying "insert map dvd" a friend of mine told me to reset it... not sure how to go about doing this? do I just disconnect the negative cable??

Welcome! You didn't include the year of your IS350. When you post always include the model and year of your Lexus since things change within the same model from year to year.

The easiest way to do this is to edit your profile.

Before you do that, you may have accidenlty hit the disc eject button--but the disk is hidden behind a dash panel. You need to remove the panel, and try ejecting the disc all the way, and re-inserting it. Owner's manual will show where the dash panel is.
