curiousB Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 easy, 1/2 hour should do it. You might want to get an O2 sensor socket to make it a little easier ($5). http://www.harborfreight.com/3-8-eighth-inch-offset-oxygen-sensor-wrench-97177.html
paulenka1 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 A code P0135 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: O2 Heater element resistance is high Internal short or open in the heater element O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance open or short to ground in the wiring harness you should clear the fault code with code scan tool, maxiscan jp701 can help you do it.
billydpowell Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 when my 96 flashed it, I bought 2 02's out of a wrecked 96 for 50$ put them in and it is done... no more light.
yotoy82 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I would avoid junk yard parts. You can get Denso O2 sensors on Amazon quite cheap and they are literally exactly like the original parts, fit and everything! Its just a headache lifting the carpet and getting to the sensor hook up inside the car because there is a duct that takes heat to the backseat of the car that you will have to carefully remove to get to it. Sometimes the sensor itself is seized into the exhaust so you have to be quite careful. Make sure you put plenty of anti seize compound in case someone in the future has to get to it. But at this stage if you are replacing it, might last the lifetime of the car.
