tsantoro
I need advice on replacing brakes on 2006 is250. It has 70k mi. and the dealer replaceed the pads under warranty at 40k mi. Original rotors have developed lips, and will need to be replaced with the current pads. Should I use oem rotors and pads ( which factory pads are low dust and don't squeal) or swap them with aftermarket high performance pads and rotors. Does anyone have advice on one or both of these options.
1990LS400
Rotors can usually be machined back to like new if their thickness is within the acceptable range. I've driven something like a million miles in cars with disk brakes and I have yet to replace a brake rotor. OEM parts are usually the "safe" choice. Brakes are kind of important.
