Lexusfreak Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 I leave my dome light on "door" mode all the time & as I understand it (I have read the owners manual several times) the dome light should come on when any of the doors are open (it should also come on as an illuminated entry system when the door(s) are unlooked with the remote entry) but it only comes on maybe 10 - 20% of the time. I fiddle & jiggle the swich itself & the light will come on. Sound like a I should take it to the dealer to get the switch / electrical connections looked at? Any thoughts or advice anyone?
SKperformance Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 as mentioned before and even today in another thread remove the rubber boot and spray wd40 ni there work the switch back and forth then replace and it should work fine
wackedvc Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 I would like to add that replacing the bulb will also provide a "like-new" shine & perhaps give better conductivity. I discovered upon removing my old one (same problem too), that the tip of the bulb was worn or malformed which lead to intermittent behavior.
