Jake Quaack Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I am wanting to lower my car, but I just don't have the money for lowering springs right now. I have heard that you can cut them and it will do the same thing with no problems. I have also heard that you will blow out your struts in a matter of 6 months or so if you do it as well. I just wanted to know what you all think that I should do... Thanks for reading P.S. I have a 1992 Lexus SC400 w/ stock suspension.
dcfish Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Save your $ and buy the proper kit, You would open a can of worms if you start cutting. Be a Pro, Not the other guy.
1JZPWRD Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 What???? cutting springs on a Lexus?? Did I just read this right? I had a friend cut his only in the rear, and it rode quite well. We thought it was stock until we chnaged the sway bar links. I wouldnt recommend doing this do it changing the entire characterisitcs change.. I would highly advise against it... PERIOD!!
