Radio Replacement

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and the Lexus brand. I have been a die hard Mercedes man for some time. Recently my girlfriend’s car started running poorly so, we decided that it was time for another one. I picked up 99 rx300 base with 9070 miles. Thus far it has been a great car with one acceptation. The radio is not up to par. She had a pioneer 5.1 touch screen with nice highs and a Fosgate p3 10 in the trunk. I would like to transfer this system into the new car but it looks like it is going to pose a challenge.

I found this site. http://www.soundfxon.../Projects.aspx# It has an awesome custom installation. I don’t plan to go so crazy in the trunk but I really like the dash. Also I am considering moving the AC controls to the space under the radio where the seat warmer switch would go. I am going to be taking this on with a friend of mine. We both have a background in car audio installations so we should be capable of this.

I can post pics of the install if any one wants. Also I am open to any information you all may have that will make my life a little easier. Please feel free to comment, any feed back is appreciated.

Thanks for taking a look,

Insame1

Good luck, I know somebody has done this, but it required some talent....good luck and show us the results. The original amp is behind the rear seat in front of the spare tire...
