rodb999
Hi I'm fairly new to the forum but am looking for some help please. I have a 2002 GS300 and I have noticed recently that the cold start idle speed is very high 1500 to 1700rpm. It soon drops down to normal when the car starts to warm...I'm just wondering if I have a problem or not and if I do have a problem, where is a good place to start looking? Thanks in advance Rod B999
lincoln_pack
I think it's pretty common. My ES300 was doing the same and my current SC400 is doing so... Mine even gets higher than 1700 rpm during the winter since Quebec City is a pretty cold place... Every cold starts, it takes several minutes to idle normally (around 700 rpm) I wouldn't be too worried if I were you...
