Don't wait for it to break! Shaking engine when starting is broken engine mounts.

I would hypothesize that this problem derives from worn motor mounts. Worn motor mounts will cause an engine to buck or shake in the manner that you have described. It can also cause engine an excessive amount of engine vibrations to enter the cabin. How un-Lexus like, right? Either you or a skilled mechanic should inspect the motor mounts and replace the worn mounts as needed. For an illustration depicting the motor mounts on your '92 SC400 engine, refer to this SC400 engine diagram. Cheers mate!
