If I remember correctly, the owners manual for my LS says only that a blinking A/C light indicates a problem and that the A/C system should be checked. Is your A/C still producing cold air? If the refrigerant level happens to be low, the compressor is supposed to automatically turn off. If it is low it may not be good to try to force it to run since the refigerant also lubricates the A/C system. Your RX probably has a "sight glass" at the front of the car near the condenser where one can get a ball park idea of the refrigerant level.

The cause was a defective component during installation, and lexus issued a TSB and here is the corrective measure you can take it to a mechanic if youare out of warranty or have the dealer do the job ( vice-versa). Hope it helps.

The OP has an RX300 - not an RX350 which is what your TSIB is about.
