Default On Navi System

Hello, I am a new member and trying to find out some basic info. It is true that the Nav map screen is the default. In all of my other vehicles I was able to keep it on the audio screen or any screen of my choice without having it go back to the Nav map in 30 sec. My salesman says that is the way Lexus is designed. It makes no sense to me, not have a choice about what screen I want displayed. If this is indeed true can it be changed. Thanks for any info you can share on this subject.

Under "General Settings", set "Auto Screen Change" to "Off" ... section 12, page 343 of your navigation manual.
