Muwka
Hi, I hit a crater-size pothole on Saturday night and blew out front right tire. Rim and tire look OK, I hope I only need to have the tire re-sitted on a rim. It's a '06 GS430 with stock 18' rims and brand-new Conti DWS all-around (luckily, I bought tire insurance). Question, is it OK to drive on a spare for a few days until I get the car to a tire shop? About 40 miles daily, under 50MPH. I am mostly concerned about inflicting any suspension/alignment damage. Thanks, Michael
LEXIRX330
It is a full size spare right? You should be fine.
Muwka
Sorry, should've mentioned that. No, it's a donut spare. My car originally came with Dunlop run-flats.
LEXIRX330
In that case I wouldn't stay on it long. Some of those have max speed labels of 45 mph too.
