skyview Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 Quick Question... Does one have to fully remove the radiator to install a water pump and timing belt? Thanks ...
jzz30 Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 you dont need to take it off but its easier because it gives you more space and it keeps you from damaging your $400 radiator
VMF Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 you do need to take it off, otherwilse you will not be able to take out the crankshaft pulley. removing radiator is the easiest part, just make sure the engine is cold:)
JPI Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 I never remove the radiator when replacing timing belt and water. Yeah it will be a lot easier if you remov the radiator. More room to work with. JPI
