bragaman Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Anyone ever have the some problem? The two center AC vents aren't blowing any air on my 1997 ES300. Sounds like there a door shutting every time I turn the blower on upper vents. How do I fix this problem??? HELP!!
gbhrps Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 If you hear the HVAC motor closing or opening a vent, its possible that the motor works, but that the door mechanism has stripped, or the door has broken from its pivot points. Its also possible that you are hearing a vent motor operating, but its not the one for the dash vents, which may not be working. The only way to find out is to remove the knee panel under the glove box, and the glove box, and get access to the blower and vent mechanisms.
