Soar
I joined the club today and saw this note. How long did it take you for fixing it? I have done it a few times. It took me a couple hours each time. Every time I sent my car in for "service" I got broken CV boots back even they were newly replaced ones (go figure). I decided to replace the axles myself. lenore
I have done it on The RX300, should be the same. The worst part is pulling the hub assembly away from the axle. Unbolting the lower two shock bolts allows you to move hub away from axle. Be very careful when pulling axle from transmission or you could destroy the tranny seal....Also make sure it is seated (the new axle) into the Transmission. There is a spring clip on the axle which locks the axle carrier into the tranny.
