Today I replaced the serpentine belt on my mother's 1997 LS400 with 327,000 miles. In the process the small tube on top of the radiator broke off. I have taken the old radiator out.

Questions:

1. What is the part number for the radiator?

2. Should I buy an aftermarket or OEM. (car has 327,000 miles)

3. Should I replace the hoses. (they look pretty good)

Thanks for any help.

Hi, I don't know how it is where you are, but here in New Zealand, we have radiator repair shops. I have had them repair two LS 400 radiators. The 1989 one (Chassis number 1469!) had to have a new top tank, so he also "rodded" it to clean it out. The 1999 one got blocked because the previous owner mixed different brands of antifreeze, so tank was taken off to clean, then refitted. A lot cheaper than new radiator. Cheers, Keith.

YES and in Texas we just have them fixed, mine last week was $35. to replace the inlet nipple that I accidentally broke off
