Car Wont Start

Hi,

My car has been running fine until last night, i came back from work and inserted the master key in the ignition. Once i turned the key to ignite the car my key just broke in 2 pieces. The metal piece remained inside the ignition and the plastic part out. from there on the car completely stopped working. later i tried my spare key it still didnt work. once i insert the key the light, switches and everything works but wont just turn on. Please anyone got any solution for this problem? i am thinking the car went to anti-theft mode and shut the car down. how can i get the car out of anti-theft mode?

You can try resetting the ECU, Dissconnect the neg. battery terminal for 10 minutes, While you are at it thouroughly clean the battery terminals and cables. You will lose all of your settings (radio and seats etc...) Welcome to the club
