Brent Foster Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 My '98 LS400 'automatic gear shift indicator' (grooved part for the shifter) is showing heat damage and needs to be replaced. The previous owner lived in Florida, and it looks like the heat caused little air bubbles making the whole part look really worn. Does anyone know where I can buy that part online and how it can be removed? Thanks
steve2006 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 This will be a dealer only part, not sure if removal is the same but on the 1994 model the piece is clipped and removed by inserting a flat blade and lifting the trim gently. Cannot be sure on the part number but may be 58843-50020. Other than that have a look on ebay for a breaker
Brent Foster Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 Thank you, I'll head up to Knoxville and see the Lexus dealership.
