Can someone confirm for me that the thermostat is located in the upper hose going into the block. I plan to replace the old thermostat that seems to be sticking. Is there anything special (from experience) that I should know about this job before proceeding.

Thanks in advance.

Remove the battery to give yourself better access....The thermostat is mounted in the metal pipe going into the intake valley of the engine...on the left side of the car.

yeskay, I'll see what I can do, but no promises. I hate fooling around with computers and emails and doing stuff like this. The only camera I have is on my phone. Hopefully it will take clear pics.

Silly question, BUT, when you say left side, you mean facing the car? I think this is "left side" since, from memory, the hose goes into the intake manifold there.

No the left side or drivers side. The thermostat is near the battery.....
