danc
The aluminum wheels on my 2006 ls430 are bubbling and peeling. As metal leaves, the wheels will go out of balance. The dealer says the warrantee applies only to rusting through the body. Previous cars such as an Accura Legend [6 years] and an RX300 [4 years]and a Mercedes [3 years] had no problems in the same location about a fifth of a mile from the ocean. Has anyone had a similar experience. Dan Crowley

What? The car's basic warranty applies to the wheels too. The wheels on my 00 LS were replaced under the car's basic warranty at the end of 2003 at about 40,000 miles. Lots of others on these forums have had their wheels replaced under warranty too. Has an exclusion on the wheels been added to the warranty? Did the dealer rep show you where the warranty excludes wheels?
steve2006
Owners have also had wheels replaced (sometimes twice) under warranty here in the UK,try another dealer. It's a very common problem and Lexus are well aware of this.

steve2006
With the amount of bad publicity Toyota/Lexus have had over the last few months you would have thought they would have been more positive in their "Customer Service" attitude, why not contact Lexus USA yourself and mention this?
