1996 Es 300

I have a 1996 ES 300 with 170,000 miles. It runs just fine and the brakes work very well however, the ABS light is on - just started coming on the other day - and it stays on. Any suggestions as to the problem?

I would suggest moving this question to the ES forum.

Second, you might first check for fault codes, as this could be a faulty wheel-sensor, ABS-pump etc.. Btw, brakes work very well without ABS, as it's purpose is to keep the wheels from blocking completely...

i say the same too just get your abs sensor clean if you dont really have any problems stoping the sensor on your abs is dirty and need to be clean

i've had the abs lights forever. on my 95 lexus. where are the sensors located? i want to try and clean mine.

Have either of you had either axle on either side replaced?

i don't think so? i've only had the car for about a year used. didn't get any carfax info. i know my shocks/struts need to be replaced. that's about it.
