Speedometer Acting Up!?

Recommended Posts

I have a 95 LS400, and was driving down the road today, and was at a constant 50mph, when all of the sudden, my speedometer dropped to zero, then instantaneously went right back to 50....all within half a second. About 10 minutes later, it did it again. There wasn't any hesitation in the motor associated with it. Is my speedo going bad? Anyone? Bueller???

The speedometer is electronic ( no cable from Transmission to speedometer) the speed sensor is mounted on the transmission so I would have a look at it's wiring 1st as it is subjected to road dirt and water.

Thanks Steve! I'll look it over when I'm changing my oil.
