2010 Rx 350 Phone Book Phone # Extension Entry

Cannot figure out from the manuals how to enter into the phone book the extension for a phone number such as used to activate answering machines or business extensions. It is my wife's brand new 2010 RX 350. Can anybody help, please?

Look in the manual for the use of "w" and "p", but look on this forum I don't think anyone has got it to work.

you can enter the wait or pause, but it doesn't actually work

I came here looking and agree with previous poster, doesn't look like there is a solution for this obvious defect yet
