The brake pads (all around) start at 11mm and they a recommended to be replaced at 4mm. I have 25k miles on my 08 and I have 8mm remaining all around. I drive 75% in the city as well which means my original pads are on target to make it 45+k miles before needing replaced. A lot of folks have complained about the pads wearing out quickly though.
