The short answer is Yes. You DO have to undo the timing belt to get the water pump out. You can reuse the timing belt if you like but if you go to all that trouble, you might as well just replace the TB at the same time. Not a trivial job. It is fairly involved. curiousB Posted November 26, 2009 Share Posted November 26, 2009 Sorry. Lexus was kind enough to bury the water pump behind the timing belt. Its a timing belt job plus some in terms of effort.
