Install Pcv Valve In 1991 Es 250

I'm trying to Install a PCV Valve in my 1991 ES 250 but the hole is way too small! I've triple checked the part number, and bought too separate brands of valve, yet it's about a 1/4 inch larger than the one that came out! Could the parts guide be wrong? is this something you can only get from the dealer?

The OEM is so dirt cheap, why would you go aftermarket on something as basic as this?

I know on my 92 es300 when i bought a new gromet i had to use pliers to jam the pvc valve in there. I couldnt do it by hand.
