head hunter
LS430-2002 with 38k. Well under the recommended mileage to replace belt; however, dealer said the age trumps the mileage. True? Thank you.
steve2006
True recommended at 100,000 KM or 7 years whichever comes 1st. It's not so much the mileage in your case but how many start ups you do,how you drive the car and the fact that the cambelt material deteriorates over time. Put it this way a cambelt job is a lot less than a wrecked engine if it does break.
