jonnykeys
Per previous posts on cleaning the iac, I did just that. The valve finally began to move, however, it now spins 360 degrees. I read in 1 post it should only move a 1/4 turn at most. Could the valve need pushed in or pulled out to a proper seat position or is it just shot? Did you take the electro-magnet off (the part with the bak-a-lite on it)? You're right, it should only move about an 1/8 of a turn. Were you rough with it? Pry on it? I cleaned my DIL's and had no problems with it. I replaced it for other reasons, but it worked fine and so I still have it. I will look at it tomorrow but I feel rather sure if it moves 360 degrees that it is history. Full travel - open to closed is very little. I only took the large hoses off the throttle body and sprayed the heck out of the iac through the port inside the TB. It was initially totally frozen. Via more spray and turning it, it finally freed up but now travels the full 360. BTW, I really appreciate the reply
