platinum00
Hello here is my problem, I'm in the UK and have a USDM leuxs. I went to the dealler here and they pulled the code for me (free of charge, you gotta love lexus) it is P0171 system to lean Bank 1, A1F! anyone know witch one it might be. My car has 2 Air Fuel ratio sensors. The dealler over here said its probably the one next to the fire wall. Any help would be great, Thanks guys Sorry it is a 2000 es300 Platinum seires
George_Jetson
bank 1 is next to the firewall. You may want to clean the MAF sensor first, there are several people that state that this is a symptom of a Maf that needs cleaning (although why it does not set a code for both banks, I do not know). Anyway, it is much cheaper and could possibly fix the problem.

George_Jetson
How many kilometers do you have on the car. if you have more that 130km or so, I would recomend replacing both bank 1 and 2 sensor #1. They are consumable, with a finite lifespan. Of course if you have not already checked all vac hoses, it would be a good idea to check for split, cracked hoses first. George_Jetson
Don't forget the PCV valve, and the valve cover gromet that the pcv fits into.
