hb4yfe711 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 i have a 92 sc400 with 200k roughly. just recently in June i had a full tune-up and timing belt replaced. my car just started to give a hesitation when driving at low speeds. when pressing the gas it hesitates then after a few seconds finally gets the power that it should. even with the peddle to the floor it does it. it makes a gurgling sound. like i have mouth wash in my mouth! what could this be? what could be a possible fix to this problem! my car is no longer fun to drive!
Toyofreak Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Check all of the hoses going to the intake. When they get old sometime they will start to crack and split. This may fix your issue While your in there clean the throttle body.
tmh95sc Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 my car had the same problem... i know what you mean when you say it's no longer fun to drive! i replaced the throttle switch and that fixed the problem. it's not too costly either... ran me about $130
