Fisrt off, let me say thenk you to all on this site.

The problem i am experienceing is a fialure to crank. I experienced this two weeks ago, and bypassed the solenoid for the starter, and came to the conclusion it was bad. I replaced the starter with a brand new one. It still does not crank. I then replaced the battery, all the solenoids, as well as the fuses. now I jumped the relay, and the starter cranks, but it will not start with the key. (no noise) I have tried the antitheft drivers door lock with no success. It has an after market alarm on it, which is a audivox aps25ch. I have replaced the relay in it as well, with no results. I have also tried to unplug the brain and start the car. the car has had a tuneup during the starter replaceemtn, plugs wires rortos pcv. i dont know what else to do. Help! when the key is turned, the radio dims, it also has psoitive voltage tot he switch.:angry:

Yes sir, I did. When I tried to bypass the first starter, it wiould click, and when it was removed and tested, it was bad. This start cranks when it is bypassed. If the anti theft was on, thelight on the das that says security would flash, right? Is it possible that it is the ignition switch?

I can't really tell in this diagram but....

you don't say what year your car is. I suggest you update the car model in your profile.

Have you read through this? http://www.lextreme.com/dx-starter.html

Sorry, the car is a 1990 ls400. I have replaced the nss, and it still will not crank. I gues the next oprion is the ignition itself......I have read it, and have bypassed the starter, it is brand new. the relay is good, and I have done the anti theft several times. if the anti theft was engaged, the securtiy litgh would be on i assume? I have cut out the after market alarm, and still no start.

Thanks
