Sc-400 Rear Deck Speakers And Sub-woofer

Just completed installing new rear deck coaxials in my 95 SC-400. Some interesting things though. When the problem arose from limited volume in all the rear deck speakers, I immediately thought it was the amplifier. Bought one on eBay.....no joy! Upon further digging (thanks to some of the threads here) and after taking out the rear seat, etc etc to get to them, I found the 4" speakers completely desinagrated. That is to say to foam in both speakers was completely wasted away. Ended up buying a pair of Boston Acoustics S45's from eBay along with a stock 10" subwoofer thinking it had to be changed out as well. Well......the S45's went in first, and they fit perfectly into the housing!! No need to drill additional holes or line anything up. Turned on the stereo and BINGO!!!!! Not only did the stereo come to life once again, but the subwoofer was pumping away as well!!! Guess the whole point here is that if your looking for decent sounds and don't want to mortgage the farm and go through alot of hoops the S45's is a nice choice. Also....because of the wiring, if the 4" rear deck speakers are blown, your sub may be just fine. It seems they are all interconnected and need the correct voltage/current/resistance to drive the subwoofer. Having blown 4"er's would absolutely change the input to the subwoofer.
