hi all

i have recently rx400 and bring it to dubai where i live , this rx is american specification, i try to upgrade my navegation so i enter the over ride screen and by mistake i press option i dont what it mean so the display restart and ask me to insert the correct map cd and nothing concern the navegation work then.

so i try to make reset for the screen ,i enter the prduct service by press info and switch the light on and off for 6 times , then an option is appear to change the model so i change it and the screen again make restart , but this time nothing is work , all the bottom is diable and the condtion is stop and other system connectd to display, the massage insert correct cd map still apear and this time i connot enter any option. so for that i diassymble the display and disconnect the internal battary to make rest for it

and that make it more worse a new massage appear check system.

iam sure that my problem is software but i cannot solve it , the dealer refuse to fix it coz its american specification and dont have the desire part for it

so if any one can help me and have idea to solve it

also i try to disconnect main battary without any result

You may want to try this:

Remove the DVD from the DVD box

With the 400h turned off, disconnect your 12v battery (simply unhook the ground cable ... that's all that is necessary)

With the battery disconnected, turn the ignition key all the way on, as though you are trying to start the car up.

Turn the key switch back off

Re connect the 12v battery

With battery re-connected, turn the ignition switch on to accessory mode.

Insert the proper DVD and your system may now recognize it.

Sometimes your car can hold memory, and by disconnecting the 12v battery and turning on the ignition switch, all stored memory will be drained out of the car's system.
