Dreamwalker
I am trying to replace my rear hub and wheel bearing but I cant get the Hub off. There aren't any visable screws or bolts holding it on. Anyone know how to do this?
ROYT
I looked at the parts list for SC. Looks like ;disc off: large nut on end of shaft off hub end off.... and there is a snap ring behind the oil seal, is this holding it? Just trying to help, never done this job! jzz30
ummm... these cars use sealed bearings and the hubs are pressed on. you need to remove the entire hub assembly from the car and use a press to push out the inner hub from the bearing and push the bearing from the hub carrier. so basicly take the hub to a machine shop or somewhere that does press work and have them press the new bearing in
Dreamwalker
Thanks everyone, I am actually taking my car to a friends house who has a lift, pneumatic tools and a press. Now that GrnSc400 gave me the right info and exploded diagrams I think I should be able to do this. I'll post up the DIY pics after this sunday.
