BAD_AL Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Hello All, I'm attempting to take out one of my rear seat belt retractors. I've got the back seat out, the Rear Speaker Grille out and am now on the removal of the "Roof Side Inner Garnish". The instructions say to "Pry loose and remove the garnish". But it doesn't feel like you can just pry it loose without breaking something. Anyone have any advice on technique?
lenore Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Yea, its a scarey thing to pull on that panel, but what holds it are some metal clips that spring into a hole on the pillar support. pull gently by inserting a screwdriver under the edge and then grip it with your fingers. This is just the normal way they put cars together.

Or does it mean that you pry at the garnish with the screwdriver just to get your fingers underneath it?
BAD_AL Posted June 11, 2009 Author Posted June 11, 2009 So, I got the technique. Start prying at the top of the garnish, there will be 3 'pops'. then lift up to get it past the 4th 'Clip'.
