99 Rx300 Thumping From Right Rear Wheel Area

My daughter's home from college and her 99 RX300 is making a thumping noise from the right rear wheel area. It almost sounds like something is loose in the rear compartment but after a thorough check, everything seems to be secured pretty well. Any ideas or thoughts on what might cause this? There isnt any problem with the ride. Could it be the struts or boot?

BTW - great site - I cleaned her IACV and throttle body last night using the directions from this site!

check under the car and see if a muffler hanger broke.... a long shot....they are rubber hangers...
