Cant Replace Rear Signal Bulb

I am trying to replace the rear signal bulbs but there is there wiring for the LED rear lights in the way. Has anyone done it or encounter the same problem?

The white plug where the LED light is can be removed. If you look at the left part of the LED plug you have to pull the tab out to the left then pull straight out. Hard to explain but it should be pretty simple.

Failed attempt :( I tried to yank that thing out but I didnt want to yank too hard. Any other option? Thanks.

There's a release catch on that plug. You shouldn't have to yank too hard.
