Lexus 6cd Changer Aftermarket Amp?

can anyone confirm that lexus 6cd changer factory radio has the sound processor in the amp not in the stereo?

i tried to put a factory radio back in the 2001 IS 300 with a 4 channel amp

i got the output from OEM radio line level but theres no volume or any audio controls.

it seems like they are actually in the amp itsself

can someone confirm that?

is there any way around it?

Are you refering to the ASL ? Sounds like you tried an aftermarket amp ? The ASL is in the headunit...............More details would help ;)

theres no volume control or sound settings(bass,treble,bal/fad)

the guy that did a system instlal never gave the amp back so i tried to hook it up to a 4 channel untill he gets a new unit

his whole system got jacked recently
