TexasLexus94 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Last fall, the A/C in my 94 LS failed. Totally. Pushing the "Auto" button resulted in the AC button blinking. And no A/C. Hot air. I recharged the system with R134A, but no luck. So I posted the problem on this forum, and a few really experienced posters said I probably had a failed compressor. Living in Vegas, with a cool winter, I waited many months until today to try the A/C. 94 degrees, time to face the facts. Started up the LS, pushed the Auto button, A/C button started blinking, no cool air-Nada. So I left the auto button on, and shut the A/C button off. While driving to a casino, sweating like a pig, I pushed the A/C button for the hell of it. Guess what? A blast of cool air ensued! And it was still working big time on the return trip. So you know my question-WTF? Is it a controls problem? Electrical? A blessing from above? Sure works great, will blow you out of the car. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
SKperformance Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Blicking ac light means compressor lock up or over pressureized system.
lexfourcam Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 i think im gonna try and recharge my a/c. it works but it only blows hot air i hope i don't have a bad compressor...
