Last fall, the A/C in my 94 LS failed. Totally. Pushing the "Auto" button resulted in the AC button blinking. And no A/C. Hot air. I recharged the system with R134A, but no luck. So I posted the problem on this forum, and a few really experienced posters said I probably had a failed compressor.

Living in Vegas, with a cool winter, I waited many months until today to try the A/C. 94 degrees, time to face the facts. Started up the LS, pushed the Auto button, A/C button started blinking, no cool air-Nada.

So I left the auto button on, and shut the A/C button off. While driving to a casino, sweating like a pig, I pushed the A/C button for the hell of it. Guess what? A blast of cool air ensued! And it was still working big time on the return trip. So you know my question-WTF? Is it a controls problem? Electrical? A blessing from above? Sure works great, will blow you out of the car.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
