Nav Hack Question (i Promise I Did A Search First Allot)

Hi i just got a 2006 is250 awd fully loaded with nav (love the car)....i've been searching allot here and google but cant seem to get this to work...i wanted to know how exactly can i hack my nav so i use it while driving for audio, navigation and etc...i saw instruction with videos on youtube and some other site, but mine dont seem to work....please help me i would really appreciate it

i already tried this several times with and without driving...

menu - Volume- touch the uppper left side of the screen, the lower left, upper left, the lower left again and a menu window pops up. hold the override button until it changes color.

I have an 06 IS 250 and this override works everytime. If the nav system has been upgraded to a new version the override may not work, but my understanding is that the override button was gone. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work.

The override, however, doesn't allow you to see radio messages, or use bluetooth features while moving...it only allows full functionality of the gps.

A piece of advice...don't pull the stuff where you write the same message over and over...the moderators will ban you...

Thanks for ur response NoMorePinkPanther, and i didnt mean to send the same message over and over i tried to delete but couldnt...my bad newbie mistake....

Anyways my nav ver is 5.1/gen5, i dont know if tht helps....do u know any other way for it...even just for the nav...thanks

So wait.... the navigation does not continuously navigate for you like other cars? I am picking my lexus up on monday and it has nav, but might be disappointed if it does not work.

and about this hack.... do you have to enter it everytime you wanna use or just once originally?

Everything works while the car is in motion but you will not be able to input new addresses and other navigation options while driving unless you use the voice command. Radio and most of the other stuff will still let you input on the screen while driving. It's really not THAT bad.

Just get one of the navigation hack things off Ebay. I did it and took like 20 minutes to install and its completely reversible. Allows full access to navigation, dvd playing, etc while in motion. Works by convincing the car its not moving and parking break is on.
