es300nc Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 saw some italian wood aftermarket dash kits for 97 es 300 and they look like a nice upgrade but are they and are they easy to instal as they say
SW03ES Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 It depends on what you like. Personally I dont like the dash trim kits at all... They're quite easy to install though...
apoc519 Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 someone on here painted their dash silver, looked really sharp. That seems like a better solution then putting on a dash kit, I just dont see how they would look right on the climate controls and radio unless they are paper thin because otherwise they would stick out past the buttons
jdmparts_guru Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 I personally also do not like the stick-on woodkits. Painting them is a nice solution, assuming that you are a good painter or know one. I am currently working on a new dash refinishing solution, that requires you to remove your existing parts and send them to me for refinishing. It's done very professional and currently it is possible to refinish the trims into all kinds of wood look, carbon fiber look, aluminium look, blackwood look. I will post some pics later.
