45714LS400 Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 i hav just bought a 1992 LS400 and just became a member of this site :). Anyways the fuel pump is not turning on and i dont know why. All relays and fuses pertaining to the fuel pump/sytem have been replaced. The car ran about a month ago but now nothing. The battery has been removed a few times, could this cause the security system to shut off the pump? Does it hav a fuel saftey switch you hav to reset? Lucky13 Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 I had the same problem and had to replace the pump itself. In fact this is not an uncommon problem so I would not be surprised if that was the case. You can get an aftermarket pump for under 200 at Advanced Auto or a place like that and instalation is very easy. Took me about 15 min.
