krafter324
I had Hertz 6x9 (high energy) 3 way speakers installed in the front doors last week and they sound great. Haven't replaced any of the others yet, but hoping to soon. Blvd Customs in St. Pete Florida installed them.

I'll assume that St. Pete FL is St. Petersburg FL.Do they specialize in Lexus' and last, who was your contact? I gotta do something soon...the stock speakers sound terrible! Hey krafter, I am about to buy those Hertz speakers and was wondering how yours were working out and why you went with the high energy ones because those are significantly more expensive than the lower end ones. Thanks.

I'll chime in on this one...............I certainly respect anyones choice on OEM or aftermarket. If one wants to keep the integrity and originality of the finest car on the market, Then replace the original equipment or buy a aftermarket car to start with... I respect mods and upgrades. nNo more to be said here With ALL due respect, Thank You B) ;)
tame_junglecat
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all Hertz 6x9's 4 Ohm speakers? You will trash your ML amp!!
irishvol
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all Hertz 6x9's 4 Ohm speakers? You will trash your ML amp!! Hey guys, I'd like some help with this problem. Are the speakers you're talking about installed in stock location? Will these speakers solve the proble or do all of the speakers need to be replaced? Costs? My system really STINKS! Any help appreciated. Thanks :(
krafter324
Hey guys, I had replaced the stock speakers with nothing but HERTZ 6x9 and they disabled the tweeter so it could be used just as a sub. They sound great with more bass than before AND I did not purchase or change any amps in the car. I've been using them for several months now and they still sound great, no amp issues ect... The speakers are from their High Energy Line and Blvd Customs is in St. Pete Florida. No they don't specialize in Lexus but they definitely know what they are doing. I am now thinking about getting a HERTZ 8" Sub (es200) but they did say I will need an amp to run that since the stock sub is 16 ohm and the HERTZ is 4ohm. I would like something bigger, but I'll need to get it priced out first.
irishvol
Unless you know something I don't, the Hertz is a 4 ohm speaker. Using it will blow the factory amp......good luck!
