jmcohen23
I'm about to take my '99 RX300 in for a regular check-up today (110k miles). Are there any typical issues that I should be aware of that they might throw at me? thanks!
lenore
Should be oil change, and check the rest of the stuff. Do you know whether the timing belt was done at around 90k miles.?
jmcohen23
timing was done around 90k/100k service. they said just some "minor" things like a tranny flush ($140), and something about cleaning out the carborator ($220).
lenore
I would have them do an oil change, and a drain and fill of the transmission. I would not let them do a flush. The other item sounds like a fuel injection cleaning. Probably not necessary..... Go buy some STP fuel injection cleaner, add it to your tank and be done... jmcohen23
thanks for your input lenore, I'll keep that in mind next time. they did an induction service kit (which of course was mostly labor at $105/hour).
