Headlight Aiming

I recently tried to adjust the height of my low beams without success. I then, (a little late) decided to read up on the forums and found out that I needed to turn off the A?? Button on the dash. Well, after I've pushed that to off, it still is aimed too low. Has this been a problem in the past? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks to all.

I had seen a post in this forum which stated (and showed a photo or drawing) of the HID headlights' adjustment process. [i assume you have HID headlights since you mention the A?? which is the HID 'corner' settings.]. The adjustment is done at the rear right, I believe, suspension of the car where a lever sets the level of headlights dependent on how much 'down' the rear of the car is. You should do a search on this website, on the the RX posts. If I see the post again (and if I can find yours), I will send the URL along to you.

Search 'up' and 'down' from it

Thanks for the help. The article is for the '08 model and mine is an '05. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. I'll check it out later. Thanks again,

That "A" ( i think you mean "AFS"?) button is for the left and right movement (if you even have the AFS system).

The 04-09 Rx's were offered with either halogen w/o auto-leveling nor AFS, HID with auto-leveling and AFS, or HID with just auto-leveling.

Either way, you don't need to touch the AFS to adjust the up and down auto leveling height. There are two ways to adjust the height. First, manually using the adjustment screws on the headlights themselves, or you can find the auto-leveling switch under the car, and bend the arm a little so the car 'thinks' it needs to raise them mimicking less weight in the rear of the car.

Well, it's got the AFS (thanks for putting that in there) button, so I'm assuming that it has that option. Thanks for your input and I'll try to post to let everyone know which direction I went and how much luck I had. Thanks again,
