A/c Leak Sealer-does It Work?

Last September, the A/C went out on my 94LS. 118M. A/C light blinking, no A/C. Upon advice of this forum, I bought a squeeze and filler w/gauge. Filled the system with one can of leak sealer, it wouldn't take the second, so I let it alone, since here in Vegas, I felt that I didn't need to have the mechanic look at it until next May. But I cheated, and turned it on a week later. No workee.

Today, a nice 70 degree day, I couldn't resist trying it again. And the A/C worked like a charm. For 20 miles. So the question is simply-anybody ever go through this experience? The pressure gauge on the squeeze thingy seems low, but not too low...Any thoughts are appreciated.

I used it to keep the A/C on my 91 Caddy alive for a few months last year.!st can lasted about 3 months with each subsequent refill lasting a shorter period.
