Curious if anyone else with rear wheel drive and traction control has

experienced this. In the recent snow/ice conditions here I had no

traction and a tendency to slip to the right with the traction control

on. When I turned it off, it responed like most other Toyota products

with rear wheel drive without snow tires. Moves ok, not great, but

very predictable.

Thanks,

Here's the question, did your throttle slow down at all? If it does, then your trac is fine

The car pushing to the right, could be based on the treadlife or tread pattern of your tires--one being higher than the other.

There was another thread recently about TC sucking badly.

There is nothing wrong with the system, it's just trying to do it's job.

If you feel more comfortable driving without it, more power to you.

I prefer to turns off TC in any Automatic rearwheel/fourhwheel drive car.

BTW......I'd love me a SC440 :D

Oh no, you're right. It does suck to have it on, since it's actually doing what we(the driver) can do ourselves by taking our foot of the Throttle.

It's more like a piece of mind than a luxury. ;)

BTW: What's the SC440? <_<

SPORTcoupe300 The SC440 is a new model only seen on this site. Actually is

an SC400 with a keyboard challenged owner.
