94 Es300 Where Is The Thermostat Located?

Usually, the thermostat is located at the end or the beginning of the main radiator hose but I can't seem to find it on this car. Where is it!

I tried to upload a picture, but could not. If you follow the lower rad hose from the rad to the engine. You will find that it attaches to a pipe ( just below the alternator) The other end of the pipe is where the thermostat is located. You have to remove the pipe assembly to remove the thermostat. Please let me know how much of a hassel this is because it looks like I need to change out mine. My car runs on the cold side, and the heater is having a hard time keeping the passenger compartment warm.
